MedMark Treatment Centers Five Points is here to support anyone in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area living with opioid use disorder by offering effective treatment options.
We provide both opioid treatment program (OTP) and office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) services and personalize our care to meet any individual's unique treatment needs.
Whether you are struggling with addiction to fentanyl, heroin, prescription medication, or other opioids, our team will help you or your loved one find the path to recovery.
Our medical providers at MedMark Five Points use methadone as a component of our OTP medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program for opioid addiction. Methadone blocks the effects of opioids like fentanyl, heroin, and prescription painkillers by attaching to the brain’s opioid receptors.
By relieving your cravings and withdrawal symptoms, methadone helps you concentrate on other aspects of your personalized treatment plan. As a proven effective treatment for opioid addiction, methadone can be tailored to meet your needs so you can focus on making lifestyle changes to support recovery.
As part of our OBOT MAT program, MedMark Treatment Centers Five Points offers Suboxone, Sublocade, and Brixadi to treat opioid addiction. These medications are designed with a ceiling effect to prevent the euphoria typically experienced when using other opioids, all while reducing your withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
Depending on the type of medication you are prescribed, you may receive it as an injection or as a film or tablet dissolved in the mouth. Our medical providers will assess your unique treatment needs and work with you to determine the best medication option as part of your personalized treatment plan.
At MedMark Treatment Centers Five Points, we recognize that the journey to recovery is different for any individual overcoming opioid addiction. We use individual counseling sessions to help you better understand your opioid use and find new ways to deal with life’s challenges and stressors. In addition, our counselors will assist you in making lifestyle changes, developing healthy relationships, and setting future goals that support you on the path to maintaining long-term recovery.
Our counseling team at MedMark Five Points understands that the path to recovery is easier to navigate with people who are in a similar situation. Our group counseling sessions give you the opportunity to talk about what you are going through, so you feel less alone on your recovery journey.
