METHADONE AND BUPRENORPHINE TREATMENT IN MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA FOR OPIATE ADDICTION
Now Accepting Maryland Medicaid
At MedMark Treatment Centers Morgantown, we provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with compassion and professionalism. Each of our team members strives to help people with opioid use disorder improve their well-being. We create personalized treatment plans that prioritize the patient’s wellness, and our team can help you start the journey to a better life.
All MedMark clinics focus on offering medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with a multimodal approach. A combination of medication, therapy and psychosocial support gives our patients the best chance of success.
At MedMark Morgantown, the following services are available:
We provide the addiction field’s two most trusted MAT medications, methadone and buprenorphine. Methadone treatment has had years of positive results and provides the patient with added structure during the beginning of their program. Buprenorphine lets the patient receive treatment at home and has effectiveness at a lower dose. Your physician will work with you to choose the best option for your symptoms.
While medication relieves the physical symptoms of addiction, therapy addresses its emotional and psychological aspects. Individual counseling lets the patient talk about their triggers for use with an experienced counselor. Family therapy involves the patient’s family members and helps them mend relationships and build recovery skills together. Group therapy gives patients the opportunity to share their experiences and find community in one another.
Expecting mothers have unique challenges to face when they have opioid use disorder. When we work with pregnant patients, we coordinate our services to protect the health of both mother and child. They receive specialized care that takes the physical changes associated with pregnancy into account during MAT. Our pregnant patients also get psychological and social support to assist them in motherhood.
Patients who attend our clinic participate in a wide range of services encompassing every aspect of addiction. Our case managers coordinate these services and help patients meet their treatment goals. These managers ensure that every member of a patient’s care team understands how their services impact the care plan. When you receive treatment at our clinic, your case manager will organize your services.
Learning the right coping skills can help a patient reduce their risk of relapse. Our relapse education services help patients understand the factors that influence relapse and how to manage them. Participants learn how to prevent relapse during and after MAT and what to do if it happens. We want our patients to know that relapse does not indicate failure on the patient’s part — just a change in care needs.
If the doctor and patient decide to complete MAT, we ensure their ongoing success with discharge planning. We can even arrange follow-up contact to check in on the patient’s needs after treatment. When someone needs to taper off a medication before leaving their program, we arrange detox. Our team develops a comprehensive strategy to help the patient maintain a drug-free life.
To support the rest of the services we offer, we provide general medical services that promote our patients’ physical wellness. We offer lab services, physicals and follow-up appointments that allow the patient to get general health care as they receive addiction care.
We have a convenient location near the Greenbag Road bus stop on the 15 route, making us accessible by public transit. Our clinic has on-site parking available for patients who drive.
