Strengthening Our Community: Partnering With MedMark for Opioid Treatment Access

Community organizations, nonprofits, and public service groups—including housing programs, veteran services, faith-based organizations, and local outreach teams—play a critical role in supporting individuals facing complex life challenges. When a client is living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), addiction often becomes the central barrier preventing progress toward housing stability, employment, health, and long-term independence.

MedMark Treatment Centers is a committed community partner, offering immediate, accessible, and compassionate Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) alongside wraparound recovery support. We function as an extension of your organization, ensuring your clients receive the specialized, evidence-based care they need to stabilize and re-engage with community life.

How MedMark Treatment Centers Supports Community Organization Clients

Our outpatient treatment model is designed to reduce barriers and increase access—especially for vulnerable populations.

Removing Barriers to Essential Care

MedMark’s non-residential, outpatient setting allows clients to maintain shelter, transitional housing, employment, and family responsibilities while receiving daily or scheduled treatment. Our MAT services include:

  • Methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone) to reduce cravings and withdrawal
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate shelter rules, work hours, and case management appointments
  • Rapid access to care to prevent relapse and reduce overdose risk

Stabilizing physical symptoms of withdrawal enables clients to focus on rebuilding their lives.

Case Management and Social Support

MedMark goes beyond clinical treatment. Each client is assigned a dedicated case manager who provides:

  • Referrals to housing and emergency shelter programs
  • Employment and vocational training resources
  • Linkages to primary care and mental health services
  • Coordination with food banks, clothing closets, and social support programs

This comprehensive support helps clients overcome the social and logistical challenges that often hinder recovery.

Accessibility Matters: Why Community Groups Trust MedMark

Rapid Linkage to Care

When a client is ready for help, timing is crucial. MedMark prioritizes quick scheduling for assessments and treatment initiation. Fast access significantly increases treatment engagement and reduces the immediate risk of overdose.

Financial Accessibility

MedMark accepts:

  • Medicaid
  • Medicare
  • Commercial insurance
  • State-funded programs

We also work closely with uninsured or under-resourced clients to make treatment as affordable and accessible as possible.

Treatment for the Whole Person: What Clients Can Expect

Our care model treats clients with dignity, respect, and compassion—addressing their full range of needs, not just their addiction.

Comprehensive Treatment & Counseling

Clients receive an individualized treatment plan combining medication with evidence-based counseling:

  • Individual Counseling: Addresses trauma, emotional health, motivation for change, and recovery barriers.
  • Group Counseling: Builds social connection, communication skills, and a supportive sober network.
  • Addiction & Relapse Prevention Education: Helps clients identify triggers, develop coping skills, and build long-term recovery strategies.

Together, these services help clients stabilize, find purpose, and re-engage with supportive community systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I refer a client from our shelter, outreach program, or food bank?

Contact your nearest MedMark Treatment Center and request the Intake Coordinator or Program Director. They will guide you through the referral process and help schedule a prompt, confidential assessment.

Will MedMark share updates on a client’s progress with our organization?

Yes. With the client’s signed consent, MedMark can share attendance updates, treatment engagement, and care coordination details—always in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.

Why is MAT more effective than counseling alone?

MAT addresses the physical dependence associated with opioid addiction, helping clients stabilize so they can fully participate in counseling, social programs, and case management. MAT is the gold standard of care for OUD.

What is the purpose of discharge planning?

Discharge planning ensures clients have long-term recovery support through connections to alumni groups, primary care providers, community resources, and ongoing maintenance programs.
