MedMark Treatment Centers Hayward (a REACH Grant participant) provides outpatient opioid use disorder treatment. Our Hayward methadone clinic focuses on compassionate and confidential care that helps patients live healthier lives. We offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), counseling and additional services to patients with addictions to opioids like morphine, heroin and hydrocodone.
Our team of professionals is committed to working with each individual to create a treatment plan based on their specific needs in a supportive environment.
At MedMark Hayward, we offer comprehensive opioid use disorder, or opioid addiction, treatment services with medications that include:
When enrolled in our Hayward medication-assisted treatment program, a patient takes medicine to manage their withdrawal symptoms. The field of addiction care has seen years of positive results from treating patients with methadone and more recently with buprenorphine and buprenorphine compounds such as Suboxone. Under a doctor’s supervision, medication provides a safe alternative to illicit opioid use or stopping opioid use without help. Methadone maintenance serves as the foundation for our MAT program, where patients take methadone to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and cravings leaving the space for patients to develop recovery skills. The addition of buprenorphine and buprenorphine based compounds offer patients options to meet their individual needs.
Patients who participate in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) receive individualized therapy from a trained counselor. During these sessions, the patient and therapist work together to establish and work toward recovery goals.
Pregnant patients can participate in MAT to help their babies stay healthy. Treatment with methadone reduces the risk of premature birth, infection and miscarriage.
Every patient at MedMark Hayward has a counselor who handles their individualized care plan. The counselor coordinates care by ensuring that the members of the patient’s treatment team have the same goals in mind and collaborates with outside agencies as needed with the approval of the patient.
Our NA meetings give patients a space to share their recovery progress and coping strategies. The closed nature of these sessions allows our patients to talk about these topics in a confidential, supportive setting.
To improve the quality of care we offer, we invite patients to join our patient advisory group. In patient advisory group meetings, patients can give feedback on their services to enhance our performance.
If you need support in the community, our team can refer you to resources that help people with opioid addiction. We collaborate with organizations that can help you get food, housing and other necessities.
At MedMark Hayward, we take a patient-centered approach to care. Our MAT programs help patients in the area with:
